Idea Napkin No. 1
I’m a single parent to a much laid back who just turned 16 year old boy. Not only am I a part time student but I also work full time for an engineering firm. Working as an administrative assistant has helped me deal with different kinds of personality from the independent coworker who doesn’t ask or need much too needy coworkers who require a lot of attention and hand holding. I’m good at multi-tasking and prioritizing my work.
I would like this idea to be a starting point for a tools type platform for mobile devices. I will primarily be very hands on with developing the tool but eventually would like to be hands off to run more the business side and leave the developing to the engineers working on the product.
2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
It seems as smartphones and mobile devices increase in its capability so do the apps and services that are offered for these devices. My tool will be a basic function on the device that will tell you how much data usage the game, app or service that you would like to run will take up and if it’s better if you turn your phone to Wi-Fi to save on data and would Wi-Fi slow it down or give you the same performance as if you used it straight data through your service carrier.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
This is a general tool that anyone can you use especially if the consumer has more than one device on a network plan. I think consumers who have a shared data plan or family plan or on a budget will find this tool very useful.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe it’s valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
Because consumers love to save money and if there is a tool that can save them on overages when it comes to data use they would get it.
5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
No one else is offering a way for the consumer to take control of their data usage. The networks are only offering unlimited data at a very high price that truly is not unlimited because it comes with restrictions like having to be on their network and go above a certain amount of data before the end of the billing cycle and they will slow the performance on your mobile device.

ReplyDeleteYou idea is very specific. I see a lot of potential, I struggle with deleting applications on my phone because of insufficient space. Your "who you are section" surprised me. You obviously show dedication to school considering you have a kid. Good for you. here is my post http://cristalsicard.blogspot.com/2016/02/idea-napkin-no-1.html
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI like what you are presenting here, is an idea that would help a lot of people and specially those who don't know how to administrate their phone space. I can see myself using this product and recommend it to all my friends. You should start working on this because it is a very good idea. Here is my blog. Good Luck.
