Reading Reflection Week 10

Reading Reflection - Chapter 11

For each reading reflection post, I ask you to address the following areas:

1)      What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?

In the section of “Watching Your Accounts Receivable” it discusses how some entrepreneurs do not have a policy on collecting debts from their customers and being too lax causing some financial issues. I was surprised that collecting on payment would not be one of the first priorities when starting a business and ensuring that you had some payment terms set when offering goods and services.

2)      Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.

I didn’t find anything confusion for this chapter and found it to be interesting to learn about the financial side of running a business venture.

3)      If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?

I would ask what can small start-up ventures can do to lesson risk when currency loses value.

4)      Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?

I don’t disagree with anything presented in this chapter.
