Reading Reflection
For each reading reflection post, I ask you to address the following areas:
1)
What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading?
In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from
your expectations?
The backlash a company can incur from a marketing
scheme being seen as something extremely negative was something I had not
considered before. In this age of twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, a lot of
companies out there are being more risqué with their marketing concept and
plans just so that it can trend and get people talking about them. Thought it
can backfire at times, usually the plans work on the companies favor.
2)
Identify at least one part of the reading that was
confusing to you.
I didn’t find anything confusion for this chapter
and enjoyed reading the different ways one can use marketing to make your
business stand out.
3)
If you were able to ask two questions to the
author, what would you ask? Why?
I really didn’t have any questions that I felt
needed answering from the author, I thought it was very good article, it was
very interesting.
4)
Was there anything you think the author was wrong
about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
I would have to disagree with
the author in this part of the reading; the section on Internet Marketing
stated that one of the concerns of using this avenue was “limited target
audience”. Though it states that is not accessible to everyone which is correct
I wouldn’t put it in a category of it being as a major concern, to me is more
of a minor concern because the internet is accessible to a great number of people
in a lot of different ways via schools, work, libraries, and of course home.
