Reading Reflection
For each reading reflection post, I ask you to address the following areas:
1)
What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading?
In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from
your expectations?
I was surprised to learn the small number of ventures
that actually develop a good strategic plan and the reason why so many small
ventures fail is because of a lack of a developed strategic plan. Another thing
that surprised me was entrepreneur’s entering industries they have very little
knowledge of because they assume that particular sector is fast growing and
popular it will yield success for them as well.
2)
Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing
to you.
I didn’t find anything confusing about this particular
chapter.
3)
If you were able to ask two questions to the
author, what would you ask? Why?
Is there an easier way for entrepreneur’s to
integrate strategic and entrepreneurial actions to enhance wealth creation. What
steps can entrepreneur take to better equip themselves with fast growth of
their venture.
4)
Was there anything you think the author was wrong
about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
I don’t think the author got anything wrong. The
charts and graphs provided along with some good examples help explained a lot of
the material covered.
